Alex Johnson

Alex Johnson is an accomplished crisis management consultant with diverse experience advising clients including ADT, Diageo, Hewlett Packard, London Luton Airport, Pukka Pies and the University of Cambridge. 

After over a decade spent working in communications consultancies, initially specialising in financial services for clients such as the Britannia and Portman Building Societies, Alex moved to an in-house role. This time spent working as the ‘client’ now drives her motivation to provide realistic and actionable crisis communication advice and training following her return to consultancy.  

Her particular passion is helping others communicate more effectively with stakeholders during a crisis.  As a skilled crisis management trainer she has worked with hundreds of executives from organisations including Ageas, APM Terminals, DU, Kraft Foods, Toyota and TUI to make them more confident and capable when managing challenging incidents and issues. 

Alex is a valued advisor on reputation management and has particular expertise in crisis management having developed plans, training or managed crises for London Luton Airport, PwC, Boehringer Ingelheim and Astellas Pharmaceuticals.  Recent projects include training frontline managers across two continents to conduct crisis media interviews following a major incident, and running a fully interactive simulation to test an organisation’s ability to respond to a major incident.

When not at her desk Alex enjoys the opportunity to get some exercise at the local tennis court or catch up with the latest film releases.
