In addition to her risk specific work, she regularly responded to live crises and incidents on both a Greater Manchester and national footprint, including the Covid pandemic, large scale protests and public disorder, severe weather incidents, industrial action, and pre planned events such as concerts and football matches. She worked closely with partners to write and develop emergency plans, test and exercise emergency response capabilities at all levels of command, and deliver risk specific training to a wide variety of stakeholders. Caitlin has also worked closely with partners in the emergency services and public sector, including national government, as well as external partners such as The British Red Cross, The Resilient Cities Network and the UK Health Security Agency.

Outside of work Caitlin enjoys travelling and exploring new places, practicing French, and can be found most weekends watching rugby union at her local club.
“I’m passionate about crisis management because I love having the opportunity to share my knowledge and skills with crisis management teams to enable them to achieve their goals, and I believe that helping people during a crisis is the most valuable way I can do that.
“I also enjoy the way an exercise or a scenario can be used to provoke thoughts and discussions that will have a positive impact on how a business responds to a crisis in future.”
