Catherine Joyce
Junior Consultant
Catherine works alongside our senior consultants to plan and develop tailored crisis management training for clients in sectors as diverse as technology, media, critical infrastructure, financial services, energy and transport.
Drawing on her wealth of experience in creative copywriting and her science background, Catherine creates complex and compelling exercise scenarios on subjects as varied as cyber-attacks, financial crises and environmental incidents.
Catherine works with clients including Royal London, Lundin Mining and ABB Group and plays a key role in developing some of our most complex crisis management exercises. These include developing a suite of remote crisis communication exercises for Lundin Mining’s senior leaders in Brazil and Chile and a crisis exercise for an international media organisation.
With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of technical subjects, Catherine plans and creates pre-prepared written materials to be used during clients’ exercises, including social media posts, news articles and communication from a clients’ key stakeholders, enhancing clients’ training with a high-level of realism and sector-specific challenges.
She has a particular interest in assisting our clients with their preparedness for cyber attacks and enjoys constructing realistic scenarios around cybersecurity threats.
Prior to joining Insignia, Catherine specialised in investor relations for more than six years, helping clients in the housebuilding, retail and utilities sectors to communicate aspects of their business in a transparent and understandable way. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in biology from the University of Oxford in 2015.
Combining her interest in science with her creativity, Catherine enjoys writing for science magazines, making complex subjects accessible to wide audiences. She also enjoys watercolour painting.
