A crisis is the acid test of leadership. The decisions, actions and words of leaders in the aftermath of a crisis will be critical in determining the ultimate impact of the crisis on their business, its reputation and value.
More than that, what they do at that time will affect the lives and livelihoods of the many people affected by their crisis. The recent Norfolk Southern train derailment is just the latest example of this.
